After its inauguration, our Kaohsiung plant have been steadily supplying quality seafood to the world till today with more than 30 years in operation.
This plant is one of the pioneering factories to export high quality
Taiwanese Tilapia and Milkfish products to the US, Middle East and around the
globe, with many other new premium aquaculture seafood joining the rank for
export from Taiwan.
Since then Gallant have gradually expanded seafood processing & export
business to China, Thailand. Vietnam and Myanmar, all from this special
birthplace in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
With valuable experience and knowledge gained through our continuous
production process improvement, it allows us to expand the same operation model
into multiple oversea production bases, where local production advantages can
be obtained passed down to our customers.
Our main products from Taiwan include: Tilapia, Milkfish, Sea Bass (Barramundi), Illex Squid, Pacific Saury.
In 2021 Gallant Ocean welcomes its 8th production facility, a newly built, US$25 millions state-of-the-art processing plant in its birthplace Kaohsiung.The new production houses 3 dedicated production lines able to quickly turn raw fresh farmed and marine seafood into processed and packaged products ready for direct consumption by end customers.
The new production lines build upon Gallant’s current production processes with integrated automation to enhance product quality &consistency while reducing cost of production; all help to achieve a high level of environment sanitation, product hygiene and food safety.
The plant is capable to process 60 metric tonnes of raw materials per day to assorted final products for both domestic and export market. It also hold a cold store of 8,000 pallets open for public leasing.
Gallant is looking forwards to receiving full accreditations in 2022 for the plant, including FSSC/ISO 22000, HACCP, FDA/EU, BRC.
Looking ahead, Gallant will be joining various sustainable aquaculture organizations, ASC, BAP & Global GAP , to actively promoting sustainably farmed seafood from Taiwan as the demand for sustainable seafood.
With the help of its new plant, Gallant hopes to facilitate its customers with easier access to seafood with more individually vacuumed, packaged and seasoned seafood that can be kept fresh longer and easier to prepare.
